Bidding - Transition to Electric Choice
Electric Choice started its phase in with a limited number of customers having the opportunity to choose an alternative electric supplier. This phased-in approach began in August 1999 with Phase One as bidders submitted sealed bids for the right to participate in Electric Choice followed by Phases Two, Three, Four and Five. Bids for all phases were submitted to an Independent Bid Administrator and received from participants in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
