XML Information
Electronic Business Transactions (EBT) are web-based applications. Suppliers are required to be EBT capable in order to do business with Detroit Edison.
More information about XML can be found in the Glossary and the Electric Choice Supplier Handbook (Chapter 8, Electronic Business Transactions).
To become XML capable, follow the steps listed below:
Complete the Detroit Edison online XML Electronic Business Transaction profile.
The XML Implementation Guidelines and test cases are listed in the XML schemas section of this web site. The schemas provide the Detroit Edison XML data layouts needed for sending or receiving transactions to and from suppliers.
When technically ready, contact the XML Coordinator to arrange for a test schedule. The XML Coordinator will contact the supplier's technician to set up a testing schedule.
Upon completion of successful testing and receipt of the Electronic Business Transaction Profile, an Electric Choice Supplier Support Center representative will be notified and completion information will be posted on the supplier's qualification status web page.
The step-by-step testing procedures are available in Chapter 8 of the Electric Choice Supplier Handbook. Follow the procedures to complete the test case transaction sets, as they will be used during the testing period.
